Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, is situated in the east coast of Ireland, in the mouth of the river Liffey to the Irish Sea. History
Dublin is a historical city dating back to the 9th century, when it was founded Viking. Normans debarked here later and built a stone Dublin Castle.During the 17th and 18th centuries, the British ruled Dublin. Then followed the years of fighting for independence and civil wars, which culminated in the 1919 by declaring independence from England. Dublin became a capital of Irish Free State, today Republic of Ireland, in 1922.
Nowadays, it is an economic, administrative and cultural center for the island of Ireland.

Public transport is provided by tram and bus lines, which are quite expensive and unpunctual because of frequent traffic jam. It is planned with the construction of the metro in the future.
